Apparently Maddux and Smoltz play at least 1 round of golf with Tiger Woods during the offseason. I don't know how long ago I had heard this, but there was talk that Maddux could make a go at the PGA Tour and has a legit shot. Could be an interesting story to follow if in fact he goes that route. He has to be a first ballot Hall-of-Famer without question and will always be remembered as one of the greatest pitchers of our time. I'm just hoping we won't see him pull a Brett Favre, but I imagine that once Greg says he's finished, he's finished. I wonder if we won't see him turn up somewhere as a pitching coach...maybe in a few years. He is/was one of my favorite players because of the way he handles his business and the way he wins games.
