The 2008 NCAA Basketball Tournament is fast approaching, which means there are going to be teams on the bubble.  Which teams will soar into the tourney, and which teams will see their bubble burst?

Kansas State-Should be in as the NCAA will want Beasely in the tourney
USC-Should be in with their key wins over UCLA and Stanford
VCU-The loss to William & Mary could send VCU to the NIT
Arizona-A losing conference record will likely have Arizona in the NIT
Arizona State-They have lost 9 of their last 14 games, so the bubble may have already burst
UMASS-They don’t have many key wins, but their record warrants consideration
Kentucky-They are all but in with their recent win over Florida
Dayton-The early wins over Louisville and Pitt might be enough to get them in the dance
Florida-They need to win two conference tournament games to make it to the field of 65
Houston-They do not have enough strong wins, which means NIT is in their future
Maryland-They need at least two conference tourney wins to make the dance
Mississippi-They have some key wins, but their losing conference record has them on the bubble
New Mexico-They don’t have enough key wins to get into the dance
Ohio State-They will probably be in the tourney wilth at least one win in the Big 10 tournament
Oregon-It is tough to ignore their key wins, but they could help themselves out by winning some conference tourney games
Saint Joe’s-They played a respectable schedule, but they may not have enough key wins
Syracuse-They have to reach their conference championship to be considered for the tourney
Temple-They appear to be headed to the NIT
UAB-With a win at Kentucky and a one point loss to Memphis, they deserve consideration
Villanova-They have some key wins, which means if they win a game or two in their conference tourney, they are in
Virginia Tech-They need to do well in their conference tourney in order to make the dance
